Experience Champions Hospitality at The 149th Open

By Evan Chronis August 13, 2019

There is no better way to experience The 149th Open at Royal St. George's than with on-course hospitality, and there's no more premier hospitality option in 2020 than Champions. Created by course experts who had both the history and modernity of the sport in mind, Champions is unmatched when it comes to a prestige offering for the return of golf's oldest Major to Kent, England.

Champions Hospitality

Q&A with a Past or Present Player

The Open preserves golf's history more than any other Major Championship, and Champions puts you face-to-face with the biggest names in the sport’s past, present and future.

The Open Experiences hosts a special Q&A session with a past or present player in hospitality every year, giving guests the opportunity to interact with professional players and ask the questions and engage in open conversation with some of the best to ever to take the course.

In both 2018 and 2019, The Open Experiences was joined by 5-time Claret Jug winner Tom Watson in hospitality. Watson engaged in a lively discussion with the audience, and guests were given the opportunity to take pictures with both Watson and the Claret Jug.

Unmatched Dining Experience at Royal St. George's

Champions at The 149th Open provides a full itinerary worth of culinary experiences every day for guests to enjoy.

The day begins with a Full English Breakfast, featuring warm pastries, a varied fruit selection, smoothies and more to start the morning off.

As guests head out to the course for the morning play, they can return in the afternoon for a lunch including locally picked produce and a helping of afternoon tea.

Champions isn't just open for the scheduled dining times, though. Guests can enter Champions during any of its operating hours and be treated to selections from the complimentary bar that carries fine wines, beer, Champagne, soft drinks and more.

Exclusive View of the 16th Hole

Champions offers guests the best experience at The 149th Open without taking them away from the action. The hospitality venue is located overlooking the 16th hole at Royal St. George's, one of the most important and deceptively challenging holes on the back 9 at Royal St. George’s.

No.16 should be an action-packed hole throughout the whole week at Royal St. George's. With eight bunkers lining the fairway and green, golfer's need to be precise off the tee on this 163-yard Par 3 to avoid disaster near the end of their round.

But the viewing experience isn't limited to the drama at No.16. Between strokes, catch the rest of The Open on the multiple TVs lining Champions with live coverage on each. Whether you're bunkering down for the day in Champions or coming back and forth throughout the day, you won't miss a single swing at Royal St. George's.
